If you find yourself in need of money management tips, strategies, concepts, policies and procedures, I am not your man. I have the money management skills of a tree stump.
I’ll prove it.
I am on a fixed income. How’d it break? It must have been broken at some point. As you can see, my caution that I am no one’s financial advisor stands on solid ground.
My latest (a couple of days ago) wrestling match with finances occurred when I checked my bank account and discovered I was overdrawn by $71! Holy smokes! What happened?
An antivirus program I use renewed my annual subscription when I thought I had cancelled it. I reached out to them immediately; they were great and returned the money. The antivirus folks chuckled and said they’d return to $100-plus to my account. Then I got hold of my bank to get the overdraft penalty fee of $37 returned. I spoke to the them, and they agreed to return the $37. I began my conversation with both parties with the heartfelt assurance of, “If you can help me with this I promise to worship the ground you walk on if we ever meet.”
